Similarity between Running advice: Malmo 'don't check the milage until sunday' and Zettelkasten note taking 'don't collect a bunch of articles you never read'.

The POINT is not to have read, the POINT is not to have run. the POINT is the change in your body, the POINT is the knowledge that becomes part of you.

It is easy to become over-focused on the process (Goodhart's Law) at the expense of the true goal. For example, pushing for 100km/week and getting hurt, when 97 would have been just as good!
